In an event sponsored by O’Doherty’s Butcher, celebrating Global Frackdown Day, Ban Fracking Fermanagh is hosting a benefit gig at 8pm Saturday, October 19, upstairs at Charlie’s Bar, Enniskillen.

Diverse local musicians will provide the sounds for this event, starting with the dulcet tones of Sarah Wieghell followed by the soft, folksy feel of ‘Pipeline,’ (formed specifically to raise funds for the anti-fracking movement) consisting of Melissa McKeague, Martin Mc Namee, Richie Woods, and Richard Ireson.

Turning up the volume will be ‘Jail Break’ (Liam Johnston, Dave Maguire, Rod Barron, Lisa McCaffrey, and special guest Des Campbell) and rounding out the evening with some certifiable blues-boogie are ‘Wisdom and the Lunatics’ (Roni McManus, Maurice Collins, Des Campbell and their special guest, Ricky Kernoghan).

Tickets can be had for a mere £5 from O’Doherty’s Butcher.

 Doors open at 8pm.
