Ms Rees explained: “Getting involved in the Shakespeare Schools festival was a brilliant opportunity for students to not only engage with the words of the Bard, but also work together in the spirit of creative endeavour and perform on a professional stage, alongside other schools from Fermanagh. The performance in the Ardhowen was a sell out, meaning some people missed out and we wanted to give a wider audience a chance to see it.”

Twelfth Night is a map cap tale of twins separated at sea, unrequited love and mistaken identity, involving a cast and crew of over 30 students from across Year 10, 11, 13 and 14. Setting the play in a ‘Gangstas Paradise’, the performance is underscored by music developed by Rose Connolly, a Y13 student studying AS Performing Arts, ably assisted by Year 10 students, Ruth Beadle, Rebecca Dickson and Calum Smith and fellow Year 13 student Odhran Mahon. One castmember said: “It was so much fun and I can’t wait to have a chance to perform it again.”
