After a five-month and five-day injury lay-off, Luca McCusker was back hurling for Fermanagh, albeit only for 20 minutes, against Louth in the Division Four Final, less than a fortnight ago.
But it “felt class to have the hurl in the hand again,” said the 23-year-old.
The talented Erne forward was playing for Ireland in the Shinty/Hurling International Exhibition match against Scotland late last October when he broke his kneecap and tore the patella tendon when a shinty stick caught him.
