A WOMAN who urinated on the floor of the South West Acute Hospital has been sentenced to probation.
Dana Crumlish (44) of Killybrack Close, Omagh was charged with assault on police, disorderly behaviour, and criminal damage in relation to the incident on May 5 last year.
Police had been assisting ambulance staff in dealing with Crumlish, who was intoxicated and acting aggressively.
When they got into the hospital she urinated on the floor and started screaming at the officers, causing distress to the public in the hospital.
This included a baby who was around ten months old and was being treated nearby, who care was interrupted and had to be moved.
Enniskillen Magistrates Court heard sentencing in the case had been deferred to see how well Crumlish engaged with Probation Services, but that the defendant had been continuing to come to the attention of the police.
District Judge Alana McSorley sentenced Crumlish to 18 months probation.
