Man stole Buckfast, whiskey and sweets from local shops

A MAN has pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol and sweets from two Enniskillen shops.
Ciaran Hogan (38), who now lives at Clon Dara in Derry, is charged with stealing Buckfast and confectionery fom the Lakeside Service Station on Queen’s Street in the town on January 15.
He is also charged with stealing whiskey from the Spar on the Chanterhill Road on January 31.
At Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Wednesday it was stated he would be entering guilty pleas to the charges.
As he now resides in Derry, defence barrister Ciaran Roddy asked for the case to be transferred to Strabane Magistrates Court.
District Judge Alana McSorely ordered a pre-sentence report by Probation Services and adjourned the case to Strabane on August 8.
