Derrylin man accused of torching 35 grass bales

A DERRYLIN man has appeared in court charged with arson after allegedly torching 35 round grass bales.
John Paul McCauley is further accused of assaulting a man and woman as well as threatening to destroy farm sheds.
While no details of the offending were disclosed the incident is alleged to have occurred on June 14.
A police officer aware of the facts of the case told Enniskillen Magistrates Court the charges could be connected.
Deputy District Judge John Wray remanded McCauley on continuing bail to return to court on August 5.
