IT LOOKS like Fermanagh-based country music star Nathan Carter could be in for a bit of competition – and it’s closer to home than you might imagine.
Now Nathan’s wee brother Jake looks set to follow in the family foosteps and will be shooting his very first music video this week in Enniskillen. And the good news for Fermanagh females is that he’s looking for extras to come along and help him out.
Arguably even hotter than superstar big brother (we’ll let the ladies decide!), Nathan is still only 17.
Fresh from completing college, the talented teenager has just finished recording a recorded his new release and looks set to follow in the family foosteps on the country music stage.
But firstly, the new face of country music is recording his video for his debut single ‘Trouble’ in Enniskillen and is looking for local people to come along and be in the video.
“The song that I am recording a video for is called ‘Trouble’ and is my first ever single that I will release. I am really looking forward to the release and hope that the people will enjoy my music. The video shoot is taking place in Enniskillen, on Thursday September 22nd.
“Since organising the video loads of friends have offered to help me with lighting rigs and venues for different shots. So that is one of the main reasons why the video is taking place in Enniskillen, also there is no better place than Fermanagh,” he said Jake.
Jake, who is the 17 year old brother of country music sensation, Nathan Carter has been working hard to follow in his brother footsteps. Busy performing in pubs and dances, Jake also made a few festival appearances with his brother, Nathan throughout the summer. Country music has been part of Jake’s life since he was young, and his brother’s success has been a huge influence.
“Country music has always been played in the house from when I was a child and I have always loved listening to it. With Nathan gigging from an early age I sometimes used to go to his gigs and loved what he was doing.
“Watching him grow over the years has given me the desire to start a career in the country music scene. I have been gigging now for the past year. I love what I am doing and thank god things seem to be going from strength to strength,” he added.
As Jake’s career is just starting, the country music singer has been building up a fan base and has big plans for the near future.
“I hope to move over to Ireland and form a band. The aim would then be to play up and down the country at numerous venues and bring a more modern style of country music to the country scene. Over the last couple of months I have been recording my new EP which contains three tracks and hopefully it will be coming out in the next few weeks.”
So if there is any country music fans free tomorrow, Thursday September 22nd, who are over 16 and want to get involved in country music’s newest stars video, get in contact with Jake Carter on Facebook to find out all the details.
