Police investigate arson attack at hotel car park

Police in Enniskillen are appealing for information after a car was destroyed in an arson attack in the Castlederg Road area of Ederney. 

The grey Audi A5 coupe was in the car park of the Glendarragh Valley Inn last Saturday night 2nd July. A man broke the passenger side window and threw something into the car causing it to go on fire before running off.

A PSNI spokesman said: “The suspect is described as around 5’ 4” – 5’ 5” tall, of stocky build and wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up, a black scarf over his face and grey tracksuit bottoms.

“It is believed he ran down a lane and turned in the direction of the town centre before possibly getting into a blue Volkswagen Golf car  which was then seen speeding through the town.

“If anyone witnessed this incident or has any information which could help identify the person responsible, or if you saw the blue Volkswagen Golf and can provide its registration number, please contact police on the non-emergency number 101.

“Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
