VOTER turnout in Fermanagh and South Tyrone is down on the last Assembly election in 2011.
Although turnout was high in this year’s Assembly election at 64.55 per-cent, the figure is down on 2011 by 4.45 per-cent. In this Assembly election 47,934 votes were polled out of an eligible electorate of 74,247.
However it is expected that the voter turnout figure out in Fermanagh and South Tyrone will be one of the highest in Northern Ireland.
In the 2011 Assembly election voter turnout was 69 per-cent, meanwhile last year’s Westminster election saw a voter turnout percentage of 73 per-cent.
Tally counters are expecting to see Foster top the poll with a comfortable margin, whilst the UUP vote appears to be split.
