IT ONCE was the hub of supplying the “finest cooked meats” but after the famous Flynn’s Fine Foods closed down the site and factory is now on sale for £130,000.

The custom-built factory, which was built less than ten years ago, can be snapped up among other Fermanagh bargains at an auction next Friday.

Forty-one jobs were lost following the closure of Flynn’s Fine Foods in Roslea in September 2013.

Staff were informed on the that the company was closing that they were losing their jobs with immediate affect.

The company was founded by Micheal Flynn Senior in 1978, Flynn’s Fine Foods, and described their work on the company website as supplying ‘the finest sliced cooked meats, sliced bacon, pork and gammon to retailers in Ireland and UK’.

Osborne King are now selling the property in an auction and have put a maximum reserve of £130,000.

It states that the site area is 1.15acres while the internal area (factory) is 1,974 square metres.

The property, which is located on the edge of Roslea close to the Monaghan border, is within a business park.

It also describes the front element of the building which comprises offices over two floors and the rear main portion comprises the main processing factory area which includes a number of stores and ancillary accommodation.

In addition five vehicular platforms provide “easy access for deliveries and dispatches” it adds.

There is also a development opportunity on the Boa Island Road which is selling for a steal at £15,000.

The property is located on the Boa Island Road near to its junction with the Letter Road and is approximately nine miles west of Kesh. The property comprises a relatively rectangular plot of land with a level topography that extends to approximately 0.46 acres.

A number of outbuildings are provided which may provide further development potential.

This development opportunity provides the buying with the opportunity to convert some of the existing buildings to residential use or construct a single dwelling subject to planning.

Any budding entrepreneurs may be interested in a High Street building in Newtownbutler which is selling at a maximum reserve of £30,000.

The surrounding properties are mainly residential in the area while the property comprises a two-storey end-terrace commercial building with access onto High Street and access from the side elevation servicing the rear ground and first floors. The ground comprises a retail unit to the front and separate unit to the rear.
