Six or more players to exit County team

Niall Bogue has called time on his county career

As Fermanagh interview for a new manager this week their squad has been hit with further hammer blows with the news that Niall Bogue and Shane Lyons have decided to call time on their inter county careers.

Speculation is also rife among some sources that James Sherry and Paul Ward are also considering retirement from the inter county game.

The news will come as a huge blow for whoever does get the Fermanagh job. All Star Martin McGrath announced his retirement last week and with Bogue and Lyons following suit the dressing room is quickly losing a lot of its more seasoned and experienced voices.

If James Sherry was to follow it would leave only a handful of the team who started the Ulster final against Armagh in 2008 still involved with the county squad.

On the managerial front there remains confusion over the six names in the hat for the senior job. Seamus McEaneay, the charismatic Monaghan man, has been linked to the job.
