FERMANAGH District Council has lined up a spooktacular Hallowe’en with a packed programme of events for Thursday, 31 October.

The action takes place on the banks of the River Erne, the day of spooky fun beginning at 2pm with the annual Hallowe’en Extravaganza at Enniskillen Castle Museums.

From 2pm to 5pm a wide range of family friendly events will be held throughout the Castle buildings.

Visitors can expect to be spooked by gruesome stories and ‘Creepy Trails’.  There will also be fire eaters, birds of prey demonstrations, live music and, for the younger visitors who want a less chilling experience, Hallowe’en craft workshops and bouncy castles.

Sarah McHugh, Manager of Museum Services suggested the castle setting was ideal for the occasion.
“Enniskillen Castle, as the oldest building in Enniskillen, has a pretty grisly history with many battles and executions taking place over the last 600 years.

“The Castle provides an ideal setting for our Hallowe’en Extravaganza which will be a great day of entertainment with storytelling, fun and games to suit all ages and of course, a few scares.”

Tickets for the Hallowe’en Extravaganza event at Enniskillen Castle Museums are £3.50 each or £15 for a group ticket of five.  Numbers are limited, and entry to the event is by ticket only.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.
People are advised to book their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

A spectacular fireworks display will then take place at 8pm on Thursday, 31 October at the Broadmeadow with a designated viewing area at Fermanagh Lakeland Forum.
