In a move described as ‘forward thinking’ by Herald editor, Maurice Kennedy, the principal sponsorship deal sends out a clear message that entrepreneurial thinking and business leadership is alive and kicking in Fermanagh.

In their second year, the Business Awards is Fermanagh’s leading forum for acknowledging and rewarding local business determination and success. The Awards will be officially launched by the end of June and the prestigious gala awards night will take place in the Manor House Hotel on Friday 11th October 2013.

Declan Devlin was delighted to confirm his company’s principal sponsorship of Fermanagh’s leading awards initiative and to highlight his company’s background:

“Dev Retail (02 & Pizza Hut), set up seven years ago in Enniskillen and today employs 25 staff. Running your own business can be challenging but also rewarding. There is the satisfaction of creating jobs and the buzz of knowing you are being of value to your customers. We have always tried to give something back to the community that supports us and have sponsored a number of local initiatives over the years, whether it be local sports clubs or the council, through sponsoring roundabout maintenance.

We are therefore delighted to be in support of the Fermanagh Herald because we appreciate them and the value of their business awards. They give a profile to the best in the various categories and in doing so encourage others to strive to be better. This is good for the community as we get better service, job creation and job security.”

Maurice Kennedy, Fermanagh Herald editor also shared his excitement at the announcement of the new principal sponsor, “We are delighted that 02 and Pizza Hut have confirmed its sponsorship of the Awards, which is a forward thinking move, providing a strong local link with national brand names. For a county of its size, Fermanagh has a remarkably strong entrepreneurial tradition.

With the very welcome support of Dev Retail, a forum is now in place for local companies to gain recognition for achievement in their area of expertise.”
