ENNISKILLEN BORN director Kat Woods brought her award winning play ‘Belfast Boy’ back home to Blakes of the Hollow at the weekend for it’s Fermanagh premiere.
The critically acclaimed play, which won the ‘Fringe Review’ award for outstanding theatre and ‘The Stage’ award for acting excellence at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival was staged in the Level 7 area of Blakes of the Hollow on Saturday evening.
A large crowd enjoyed the play, written and directed by Kat.
Based on the true events of Martin Hall’s life ‘Belfast Boy’ the play tells the story of his life and his family, who are forced to leave Belfast during the troubles for safe house in England.
The hour long play was well-received by the audience, with Kat’s unique style clearly going down a treat.
Actor Declan Perring played the leading role of Martin and did so with aplomb producing a special piece of theatre in an intimate setting.
