FOR ENNISKILLEN DJ Warren Adam, it’s been a busy few months.
The well-known DJ, 34, has been working on his own productions since 2007 – but it’s only in the last 12 months that things have really started taking off for him.
Since then, he has appeared on a number of compilation albums and is hoping to further cement his name among trance DJ circles.
“I’ve been producing since 2007 – and it’s taken to me this time to get up to the standard,” Warren explained.
“My first release was on September 1 with Bryan Kearney.”
That same producer played one of Warren’s productions to a crowd of 30,000 at ‘State of Trance’ in Amsterdam.
Warren was in attendance on the night: “It was unbelievable – his set was at 5am in the morning and I was promised that he’d play it. He was keen to play it himself.”
Warren went on: “My first every release was an EP ‘A1 day’ and ‘Wipeout’ with Kearnage recordings on the first of September exclusive to Beatport. The single ‘A1 day’ reached number 22 in the top 100 trance chart, went into the top three sales of that week, and was track of the week with US Trance movement. Both tracks have been selected for CD compilations and are receiving massive support all around the world.”
Warren explained that he DJs at private parties and warms up for ‘bigger name’ DJs.
“I’m trying to boost my career by producing music. You’re not going to get the bigger gigs unless you get your profile out there and your productions.
“With DJing – I enjoy people having a good night and crowd reaction. There’s nothing like it – that’s what’s driving me to produce more music. The first two tracks took months. The first project that I looked at took maybe eight months for the track to be completed. The second was about the same. But I’m working full-time and married with two kids – so I’ve wee studio which is where I work on it all.”
