Enniskillen Theatre Company ready for Fermanagh stage

EXCITEMENT is building in Enniskillen ahead of the performance of ‘The Field’ which is set to be brought to life on stage at the Ardhowen Theatre by a local drama group.

Running from April 16 to 19, Enniskillen Theatre Company’s play is a gripping drama. It explores themes of land, legacy and the fierce emotions tied to ownership and tradition in rural Ireland.

They play is described as a “fierce and tender study of the love a man can have for land and the lengths he can go to in order to obtain it.”

The story centres around a small plot of land that has been transformed through years of hard labour, only to be put up for auction by its legal owner.

When an outsider arrives with big plans and deep pockets, long-held tensions boil to the surface, leading to dramatic and tragic consequences.

This latest production brings together an impressive cast of local talent. Bull McCabe will be played by Michael Boyle who leads a talented cast.

The production is directed by Paul Doherty, with Betty McCabe as Stage Manage.

Enniskillen Theatre Company has a strong track record of delivering powerful performances that resonate with audiences.

‘The Field’ marks their return to the Ardhowen stage and is expected to draw theatre-goers from across the county and beyond.

Performances begin at 8pm each night and are recommended for ages 12 and over. Tickets are available now through the Ardhowen Theatre box office or online at www.ardhowen.com.
