Ballinamallard have signed two young players to strengthen the first team squad towards the end of the season.
Manager Whitey Anderson confirmed that the Ferney Park outfit have signed 20-year-old goalkeeper Adam Murphy.
The Castlebar lad made his debut in the Leon Carters testimonial last night when he got some game time.
The net-minder will play with the Reserves this week against Linfield Swifts and if he impresses there for a few games he will get an opportunity with the first team before the end of the season according to the Ballinamallard manager.
Anderson’s second acquisition is 23-year-old central defender Aaron O’Hagan who has played for Finn Harps and Letterkenny. Carrying an injury at the moment O’Hagan may get a run out with the Reserves also this weekend, if he recovers his fitness.
Both will be with the club for a trial period for the next three months.
“It gives us a really good chance to look at them and they have a good chance to see what we are about at Ferney Park. A club like ourselves cannot afford not to look at players like this. It’s an opportunity for us. They have come with recommendations and we have to take it,” said Anderson.
