PANTO FEVER has hit Kesh as the pupils of Kesh Primary School this week put on their fun-filled, magical Pantomime, Snow White and the Seven slightly oversized Dwarfs. The show began yesterday (Tuesday) and runs until tomorrow (Thursday), with matinee and evening performances to captivate the audience.
The production is described as a mix of modern dance and song, which compliments the traditional tale. There are also a few interesting twists to the storyline as well as a few comical additional characters, sure to have the panto-goers laughing out loud.
The script was written by Mr Johnston , the Year 7 teacher
Will Snow White ever meet her Prince Charming? Will the wicked Queen get her way and become the fairest of them all? How will the seven dwarfs react to having a woman in the house?
Will the Queen’s evil plan work or will true love prevail?
All Key Stage 2 pupils in the school are involved with the Year 6 and 7 pupils taking on the spoken word and acting roles, while the Year 5 pupils are set to delight the audiences with some brilliant dance routines to songs including; ‘I’ve Got a Feeling’, ‘Happy’ and ‘What Does The Fox Say’.
Principal, Jill Parkinson is very excited to be producing a Pantomime again in Kesh Primary School.
She thanked all those who have been involved in preparations, particularly those who have been involved in painting back-drops, creating costumes, organising props and coordinating sound and lighting.
The Panto is a fun-filled event for all the family and is sure to have audiences laughing, singing and shouting along as well as sending everyone home with a smile on their face.
