Quick-thinking Aidy to the rescue of battered buzzard

A BUZZARD which cheated death after it struck a lorry has been rescued and released by a quick thinking man.
The large bird of prey was caught on the front grill of a lorry which was travelling along the Fintona to Tempo road on route to make a delivery to the Print Factory, Enniskillen.
Arriving at the local firm the lorry driver was shaken to discover the large bird stuck in the front grill of his lorry.
Aidy Quigley of the Print Factory was on hand to help rescue the rare bird. The incident had occurred just 15 minutes earlier between Fintona and Tempo.
On reaching his destination the driver became aware that the big bird had collided with his lorry.
Luckily Aidy was on hand to carefully place the startled bird into a large box and take it quickly down to a local vet.
Erne Veterinary examined the bird and apart from a few small grazes the vet was happy to confirm it was healthy enough to be released close to where the incident happened.
