A NIGHT of country music in Cavanacarragh Hall is to raise money for Arthritis Care and Shopmobility.
The March 3 event features performances from a host of well-known local country musicians including Ally Harron and Marian Curry, Gene Stewart, Sean Corrigan, Vincent Walmsley, The Benn sisters, Gerry Mac, Francie Smith, Paul Kelly, Karl Kirkpatrick, Sinead McGovern and more.
Local man Anthony McGirr is organising a special country music fundraising night in aid of Arthritis Care and Shopmobility Enniskillen, on March 3 in Cavancarragh Hall, Enniskillen.
The night will feature performances from well-known country artists Ally Harron and Marian Curry, Gene Stewart, Sean Corrigan, Vincent Walmsley, The Benn Sisters, Gerry Mac, Francie Smith, Paul Kelly, Karl Kirkpatrick, Sinead McGovern and many more.
The night is being organised by Anthony McGirr, Enniskillen.
Anthony has lived with Rheumatoid Arthritis, an inflammatory disease which mainly affects joints and tendons, for over 15 years. At its worst, Rheumatoid Arthritis makes the simplest of activities become difficult, such as getting out of a chair, climbing the stairs or getting dressed.
Anthony is currently chairman of the local Arthritis Care Enniskillen branch. Arthritis Care acts on behalf of people in Northern Ireland who are affected by arthritis. We provide them, their families and friends with support, understanding, information and expertise so they can cope better with the impact of the condition and get the most out of life.
Anthony is also on Shopmobility Enniskillen’s committee. Many people with arthritis find walking difficult and use the services of Shopmobility Enniskillen. Shopmobility Enniskillen is a registered charity providing motorised scooters and manual wheelchairs to anyone living in or visiting Fermanagh who has mobility difficulty.
