A few weeks ago I caught up with Enniskillen sisters Lisa and Donna McCabe who have been tirelessly fundraising throughout 2014 for local breast cancer charity ‘Pretty in Pink’.

So far this year they have organised several fashion events including photoshoots and fashion shows, online auctions and even an abseil and trek in Malta.

Their aim was to raise £3000 for the charity and they decided to end the year on a high note by putting together a spectacular fashion show and raffle.

The fashion show was held  in The Bush Bar Enniskillen and featured unique trends from Lisa’s brand Nor Lisa, her own label and also vintage one of a kind pieces from Fermanagh’s ultimate vintage experience Allis Vintage. Everyone who took part in the show including makeup and hair stylists and models were local and gave up their free time to do their bit for charity.

Local hair and makeup stylist Laura Marie Buckley took time out of her hectic schedule,, which is always difficult at this time of year, to ensure the models were looking extra glam on the catwalk. The models who took part were Nicole Jones, Elish McManus, Kezia Lewis, Emma Crooks, Shannon Loughlon, Roisin Meehan, Nikita Eastham, Anna Theedom, Eimear Trotter, Siobhan McCaffrey and Donna McCabe. Donna’s company Printed Skull Ink also styled the show with the help of Nicole Wray. A raffle was also held with prizes donated by local businesses.

The girls would like to thank everyone who has helped and supported them in any way throughout the year, and in this event, with special thanks to the Bush Bar for providing the venue. All proceeds from the fashion show and raffle have been donated to ‘Pretty in Pink’.

If you would like to help the girls in their bid to raise £3000 for a local charity which provides much needed support to local people get in touch with them via Facebook. www.facebook.com/nor.lisa, you can donate via their ‘Just Giving’ page www.justgiving.com/Donna-McCabe2 or you can visit the girls in their Christmas Pop Up shop above Mauds in Enniskillen.

Any help or ideas for fundraising would be greatly appreciated.
