McGirr and Elliott back to winning ways

Shane McGirr and Jackie Elliott (Fivemiletown) in their red Toyota Starlet.

Shane McGirr and Jackie Elliott returned to winning ways to ensure their names where etched yet again on the victors trophy for the Clubmans Rally.

The welcome return to the Navar and Wee Dog forest trails proved highly popular with all the drivers and indeed it was the pre event favourites of Shane and Jackie who stamped a commanding 14 second lead after the opening stage a lead they held to the very end. Raymond &Marc Johnston where also yet again on top form to record a fine second overall with Andrew Bustard/ David Young a fine third overall. Despite a few early morning showers and slippy conditions it didnt deter the action in the slightest, the class chargers results was proof of that.

Class one victor Ruairi Maguire been as high as second overall inin his rapid Corsa but settled for Sixth as the grip levels decreased. Second in that class went to Drew Chambers/Wendy Blackledge in their Samba whilst Uel Crawford/Stephen McCombe claimed third. Class 2 was won by Marc McGowan/Bendict Bastien from Mervyn Wilson/Stephen Beacom with William Fannin taking third on his stage debut.

Class3 winners Dom Leonard/Martin Baxter overcame the charging Alan Smyth/Denver Rafferty from Conor Kelly/ David Vance who in turn beat David Kerr and Benny Grianger. Raymond Doyle& Marc Nugent won class 4 from Malachy Loughran/Jonathan Dinsmore and in  class five Damien Hagan with Sharon Clarke on the notes took the spoils from Eugene Devine/Mo Downey. Enniskillen motor club would like to thank all who helped and supported the event espcially the main and stage sponsors all the volunteers who helped in any way
