Funds raised from the event will go towards the ministry in Philippines which helps sick and dying children and their families. The ministry provide for their physical needs while they are sick and those who have been effected by the earthquake and tsunami.

Tempo woman Kathleen Coulter is travelling to the Philippines next year as she embarks on mission to help disadvantaged children.

Kathleen, who used to work in a nursing home for 14 years, said she will be using this experience to help others when she travels to south east Asia in June.

Speaking about the mission, Kathleen stated: “I’m a woman who loves the Lord with all her heart and from young age I went to the Salvation Army where I was touched by their giving to others in the work of God.

“Now, I go to the Lakeland Church on Henry Street and for the last year I felt in my heart that I wanted to give back for what God has done for me, so a opportunity came up for me to go on a mission trip next year with God’s House of Prayer for All Nations to Helping Hands and Healing Hearts in the Philippines.”
