Glorious day at Forthill as big crowds flock to picnic

Blue skies and sunshine – the perfect day for a picnic in the park!
A big crowd of young and old enjoyed a day of fun and games in Forthill Park on Easter Monday.
The ‘Picnic in the Park’ event, which is organised by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, included an exciting Easter egg trail and a special visit from real Easter chicks and rare breed hens.
Children also had the opportunity to enjoy face painting, balloon modelling and even have a boogie to some music.
A large crowd turned out for the family fun day and they couldn’t have asked for better weather.
The sun shone all day as children ran and played throughout the park, enjoyed chocolate and ice cream.
This event aimed to create a sense of belonging across the new Council area, enabling people to meet their neighbours and take part in activities aimed at creating a sense of place ensuring that council owned public spaces feel shared and open to all.
