Natasha death accused case is adjourned

THE case against a man accused of unlawfully killing Natasha Carruthers and causing grevious bodily injury to two others has been adjourned for a week. 

Padraig Toher (28) of Port, Bawnboy, Ballyconnell in Cavan appeared at Enniskillen Magistrates Court via video link from Maghaberry accused of ten charges relating to a fatal collision on the Lisnaskea Road, Derrylin, on October 7th. 

Toher is accused of the manslaughter of Natasha Carruthers (23), causing grevious bodily injury to two others travelling in the car by dangerous driving and damaging a car, as well as failing to stop, remain and report after an accident had occurred.

It is further alleged he was in possession of a metal bar as an offensive weapon, was concerned in the supply of cocaine, and perverted the course of justice by arranging to have repairs carried out on a BMW car involved in the collision. 

The court heard that papers belonging to the case had not yet been signed off on, and that the case will return to court on Monday November 12th for a review.
