Annual Graan car draw launched

IT’S DOESN’T be long coming back around, with preparations underway once again for one of the biggest events on the Fermanagh social calendar, the annual Graan dinner dance and car draw.
Taking place at the Killyhevlin Hotel on November 23rd, this year’s dinner dance features country singer Johnny Brady and, as always, the annual car draw. This year the prize is a five door Toyota Yaris Active 1.0, with £1,000 up for grabs for second, as well as ten prizes of £200.
It’s the second year at the helm of The Graan for Fr Charles Cross, who took over at the Passionist retreat from Fr Brian D’Arcy.
Fr Charles, a native of Co Down but with strong family connections in Fermanagh, said he has been very much enjoying his time at the Graan.
“I’m delighted to be here, the people are just wonderful,” he said.
“They are lovely, gentle good people. They have a great way and a warmth about them that is second to none, I can say that truly.
“They have kept attending and they have kept coming and they have been very supportive. It’s been going very well, and it’s been busy.”
Tickets for the Graan dinner dance are available at The Graan, and are £35.
Tickets for the car draw are also available at The Graan and cost £1 each, or £10 for a book of 12.
To buy a book of tickets call 66322272 or write to St Gabriel’s Retreat, The Graan, 73 Derrygonnelly Rd, Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, BT74 5PB. Tickets will also be on sale at the Diamond in Enniskillen on November 2nd and 3rd.
