Retired English snapping up new homes in Belleek

BELLEEK is fast becoming a popular destination of choice for retired couples from England to relocate, it has emerged.
It’s all thanks to a new housing development that is attracting more young families and retired couples from across the water to the border village.
Parian Way and Parian Walk are two exclusive new developments by PJ Treacy & Sons Ltd, offering up to 20 luxury built semi-detached and detached homes.
Situated on the picturesque Boa Island Road which runs parallel with the River Erne, this is one of a number of new housing developments currently under construction in towns and villages across the county.
Michael Leslie, of Smyth and Leslie and Co estate agents currently have a number of new build properties on their books including this development which he says is attracting a mixture of buyers: “We have had interest from retired couples from England, local first time buyers and young families who want to take a step up the property ladder. The first six sites have just been released and will be ready in the autumn with more to come.
“The close proximity to the Donegal border is a big factor for those purchasing in this development but also it’s ideal for people with connections to Belleek and those wishing to relocate.”
Mr Leslie says new houses are always very appealing, particularly to first time buyers and also those looking for a new home that they can put their own stamp on.
Priced from £129,950, the properties are three bedroom and feature two high quality fitted bathrooms with wall and floor tiling (ensuite off master bedroom) and one reception room. They are of traditional construction, consisting of facing brick and painted render finish with extensive insulation to floor, walls and roof and PVC windows. Rear French doors open out on to a patio area.
With customer care and entitlement to choice in mind, each purchaser is offered a choice of fitted kitchen units, worktops, bathroom wall and floor tiles, wooden floors, carpets and internal paint colours.
