The former Mount Lourdes student has dabbled with the idea of launching her blog for five years and finally took the plunge after a session with mindset and business coach, Laura McClean.

Speaking to the Herald, Nicole, said, “I’ve struggled with my weight for years, and I’ve tried pretty much everything but it’s consistency that’s my issue.

“I was always really active at school and then I went to university and discovered booze and takeaways and before I knew what had happened I’d gained five stone and gone from a size eight to a size 16.”

Nicole’s website has been live for almost a month, and the YouTube channel is on Week ten, so it’s still early days for the blogger but the blog has reached a big audience and has received a huge reaction.

“I’ve had so many messages both from people I know and people I don’t know saying such nice things. The photos I’ve done with Eireann Sharkey from EM Imagery have really kicked my website up a gear, she’s so much fun to work with.

“My work colleagues, friends and family have been so amazing and I can’t thank everyone enough for their support.”

Since starting the blog, Nicole has been sharing honest accounts of how her diet and exercising is going – including the times she slips up and treats herself.

The best feeling is when I get a message saying somebody has got a bit of motivation or a laugh from something I’ve posted. Hearing that you gave someone a kick up the backside or put a smile on their face is such a lovely feeling,” said Nicole. To read all about Nicole’s journey, visit www.thedietstartsonMonday.com.
