Police recover stolen diggers in Maguiresbridge

Police in Fermanagh are seeking the public’s assistance in trying to identify the owner of a suspected stolen mini digger.

Officers in Lisnaskaea conducted a search of a property in the Curryann Road area of Maguiresbridge on Monday 7th November. During the search police recovered two mini diggers. One of the diggers has been identified as having been stolen in the Republic in June 2015.

 A 49-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen property was subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Police would appeal to anyone who recognises the diggers or anyone with any information about the identity of the owner to contact officers in Lisnaskea on 101 quoting reference number 828 07/11/16

Earlier this week detectives from the PSNI’s Reactive and Organised Crime Branch in Enniskillen recovered a stolen digger in the Gardiners Cross Road area, near Maguiresbridge.

The Sany digger was recovered in the early hours of Tuesday 15th November after police received a call from a member of the public. It is believed that the digger was stolen from the Sligo area.
