A man in his 70s from Co. Monaghan has died following a two car collision near Newtownbutler.
The crash involving a Silver Audi A4 and a red Ford Escort happened on the A3 Cavan Road at around 2.25pm on Saturday afternoon.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact the non-emergency number 101.
Inspector Christian Bradley said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have noticed either of the cars in the area in the run up to the RTC to contact Omagh Police Station or the Collision Investigations Unit on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference number 771 – 03/09/2016”.
It is understood that the man was from the Smithborough area of Co. Monaghan.
The road remains closed on both sides of the border this morning.
