Well known and well like Noel Beattie from Enniskillen passed away on Saturday RMG01

JUST hours after another successful vintage car run in Enniskillen at the weekend one of the men most closely involved with it over the years has passed away at his home on the Tempo Road.

The popular Enniskillen man was heavily involved in and secretary of the Erne Vintage Car Club.

Noel Beattie passed away on the weekend of the 37th Annual Vintage Car Run, an event that he helped organise and was very passionate about.

Erne Vintage Car Club member, Davy Hassard was extremely saddened by the
death of his clubmate and friend.

“Noel had been in failing health, but we did not expect it to happen so soon. We had no option but to continue with the event at the weekend as we had people from all over the country in Enniskillen, and knowing Noel he would not have wanted the event to have been cancelled.

“He was a member of the club for over 20 years and was secretary for the past 10 or 12 years. We held a minute silence for him on Saturday night and he will be sorely missed by everyone.”

Noel was survived by his wife Violet and daughter Gaynor and her fiancée Rob.
