Graan Prize Draw

Jim Armitage from Monaghan Bros, Lisnaskea hands over the keys of the Hyundai car to Fr Brian D’Arcy that is to be given away as top prize in the annual Graan Prize Draw due to be held on Friday 28th November.

THE annual Graan draw takes place at the annual Graan dinner dance in the Killyhevlin Hotel on Friday, 28th November.

Ticket sales are going well but Fr Brian D’Arcy, CP, the superior, is hoping for a last-minute rush to help swell the coffers.

“It’s our main fund-raising event of the year, and it’s what keeps the Graan going.

We have just completed the painting and we have now new windows to put in and sealing work to keep out the rain.”

This year’s first prize is a Hyundai i20 which has been bought from Monaghan Bros, Lisnaskea, the second prize is £1,000 and there is a host of other money prizes.

“It amounts to £14,000 in prizes, including the car.

Not bad for £2!”, Fr Brian added, “or a book of six for £10.”
