Former Ballinamallard United player Matthew Smyth is currently in Slovenia with the Northern Ireland Under-17 squad.
Smyth who signed for English League 2 side Stevenage in July is looking forward to teaming up again with his international team mates as the squad take on Portugal, Turkey and Slovenia in a series of qualifying games for the UEFA European U-17 Championships in Bulgaria next year.
The squad flew out on Tuesday and are set to play Portugal on Friday with the Turkey game on Sunday and the closing game against Slovenia next Wednesday afternoon.
