Enniskillen Rower Holly Nixon last weekend represented Great Britain in the World Under 23 Rowing Championships in Varese, Italy.
Holly was part of the Women’s Quadruple Sculls crew that finished fifth in the final on Saturday evening.
The overall winners were Russia, with Poland and New Zealand rounding off the top.
The GB team finished six and half seconds behind the Russians.
Holly, now 21 earlier this year left the Irish rowing system to join the British one.
The Enniskillen woman became the first Ireland rower to medal at the World Junior Championships when she took silver in the single sculls in 2011.
She also formed an Ireland double scull with Laura D’Urso at the World Under-23 Championships in 2012, finishing seventh.
