Council calls for Stormont recall to ban Fracking

PROTEST… Anti-fracking protesters gather outside Enniskillen town hall on Monday evening

Fermanagh District Council has called for an immediate recall of Stormont to ban Fracking, at tonight’s monthly meeting, Monday August 4.

The motion was carried with 19 votes for, and three abstentions from the DUP.

Approximately 200 protestors met at the Town Hall prior to the meeting voicing their opposition to Fracking.

Opposition has been mounting since the announcement that Fracking company Tamboran are to begin test-drilling at site in Belcoo.
