Motorists advised to give Enniskillen 10k Road Race wide berth

FINAL preparations for the Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk, which takes place on Saturday 14 June 2014, are currently underway.

Organised by Fermanagh District Council and supported by Enniskillen Rotary Club and the National Trust, the Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk will start at 2pm at Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Enniskillen.

Motorists are being advised to expect some traffic delays from 2pm along the 10k route which will bring runners and walkers from Fermanagh Lakeland Forum through Enniskillen to the National Trust’s Castle Coole estate.

On leaving the Estate, participants will make their way around the Killyhevlin Industrial Estate and move on to the Ardhowen Hill, Derrychara playing fields and the Millennium foot bridge over the River Erne to cross the finish line at Fermanagh Lakeland Forum.

The event will commence at 11am with free children’s entertainment, including face painting and bouncy castles, at Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, until 3pm.

At 12 noon there will be a Kiddies Fun Run, suitable for nursery and primary school children, on the grass playing fields beside Enniskillen Castle.  Entry to the Kiddie’s Fun Run is free and registration is not required.

The Enniskillen 10k Road Race and Leisure Walk will start at Fermanagh Lakeland Forum at 2pm.
