AN Enniskillen contractor has been awarded a £5.4 million contract to carry out repair work to the Northern Ireland Assembly roof.

The contractor has many years’ experience of working in high-profile public buildings.

Director John Tracey said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the contract for the repair of Parliament Buildings roof and look forward to working in partnership with Hamilton Architects and the Assembly Commission on this magnificent building.”

The body which runs the devolved parliament has already spent thousands on maintenance and work because of water penetration on the third and fourth floors.
