But, the newsy bit is that, over this past while, she has been gathering sponsorship for Red Nose Day and, the hair that she will have shed, will go to make wigs for young cancer patients.

She is the daughter of Decky and Laura McBrien, from Featherbed Glebe near the Round O and, according to mum, the sponsored hair cut was her own idea.

“The Model is running various fund-raising projects, but she wanted to do this on her own. She saw a Comic Relief advert on television where Jessica J was promoting it. She sent away for the package and started fund-raising.”

For this, Jessica set up a website on the ‘giving’ page, with the title, ‘Jessica’s comic cuts’.”

“She put up an initial target of £50”, Mrs McBrien explained, “and she has been doing so well that, at the moment, her target is £500, which is a lot, and there are other sponsorships out and about.”
