Fermanagh began their Division 3 Football League Campaign with a resounding 10 point victory over Wicklow in Aughrim yesterday (Sunday).
In a confident performance at a notoriously difficult away venue the Erne men continued their good form from the Dr McKenna Cup.
Sean Quigley hit four first-half points with Paul Ward adding three as Fermanagh led 0-11 to 0-3 at half-time, making full use of their wind advantage.
A goal from Shane McCabe further extended the Fermanagh lead and even with a spirited comeback from the home side a first Division 3 victory was assured with the final point coming from the outstanding Ryan Jones.
Fermanagh’s next game is on Saturday when they play host to Roscommon at Brewster Park
