Today’s death notices for Co Fermanagh

John Markey, Derryadd, Lisnaskea, Co. Fermanagh. Died Monday 5th May 2025 suddenly in hospital. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Née Hicks). Loving father to Catherine Tyndall (John), Damien (Jae) and Shane (Helena). Dear brother of Patrick, Maureen, Mary, Daphne, Annie, Bernie and Gerry. John will repose at his late home this evening (Tuesday) from 6pm until 9pm and again tomorrow Wednesday from 12 noon until 9pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 10-40 am to arrive at Holy Cross Church, Lisnaskea for 11 o’clock funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family home private to family and close friends on Thursday morning please. John will be sadly missed by his wife, daughter, sons, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle. Saint Padre Pio pray for him.

The death has occurred of Janet BURGOYNE (née Wilson) Called home 3rd May 2025 (7C Drumhoney Lane, Lisnarick Co. Fermanagh BT94 1NB) peacefully at Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Fred, much loved mother of Janet, Stephanie and Tracey, loving mother in law and a cherished granny. Janet will be reposing in McKerveys Funeral Home, 22 Erne Drive, Ederney Co. Fermanagh BT93 0EN on Sunday afternoon 11th May from 3pm to 5pm. Funeral home private please to family only at all other times. Funeral cortege will arrive at Saint Patricks Church, Castle Archdale on Sunday evening for 6pm service and repose overnight. Janet’s burial will take place in Blaris Cemetery, 29 Blaris Road, Lisburn BT27 5UG on Monday afternoon12th May at 2.30pm. Family flowers only donations in lieu, if so desired to Omagh Palliative Care Ward (Donation box available in the funeral home) c/o Claude McKervey Funeral Director, 22 Erne Drive, Ederney Co. Fermanagh BT93 OEN. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, daughters, sons in law, grandchildren and entire family circle.

Raymond (Ray) McGovern, Hemel Hempstead & formerly of Gorgesh, Kinawley, Co Fermanagh, 25th April 2025, peacefully, after a short illness. Partner of Noreen and son of the late John & Anna McGovern, dear brother of Sean (Paula), Peadar (Frances), Patrick, Deirdre (Brendan), Marie and the late Kevin RIP. Repatriation of Raymond’s remains Friday 9th May and reposing at Swift & McCaffrey funeral home, 24 Nutfield Road, Lisnaskea, from 4pm to 8pm Friday evening. Removal on Saturday morning from Gorgesh, Kinawley, at 9:30 am to arrive for 10:00 am Requiem Mass in St Naile’s Church, Kinawley, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by his partner Noreen, stepdaughter Roseanne (Kevin), grandsons Oliver & Theo, brothers, sisters, sisters -in -law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews & extended family circle.

Michael (Mickey) Breen, Long Island, New York, (and formerly) Cornaskessa, Brookeborough, Co. Fermanagh. Died Monday 28th April 2025, peacefully in the Good Shepherd Hospice, Mercy Hospital N.Y. Loving son of John and the late Lily Breen. Beloved husband of Mindy and devoted father to Ashley, Aiden and Megan. Dear brother of Kate (William), Marion, Seamus and Eileen (Paul). A Mass in memory of Mickey will take place in St Mary’s Church, Brookeborough this Saturday evening 10th May at 7pm.
