Suspended sentence for Enniskillen driver

AN ENNISKILLEN man has received a suspended sentence and been banned for driving after he was charged with a number of driving offences.
Nathan White (25), from Coolcullen Meadows, appeared at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Wednesday, charged with driving while disqualified, failing to stop for police, dangerous driving and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
On October 8 2024, White, who was driving a Volkswagen Passat, was spotted by police exceeding a 60mph speed limit on the Fivemiletown Road towards the direction of Brookeborough.
White failed to stop when followed by the police. He was also charged with driving his vehicle without insurance.
White’s defence recognised that his client’s behaviour was resulting in “escalating offending” and it was at a “standard below what is expected”.
Judge Alana McSorley warned White he was “intent on receiving a custodial sentence”, sentencing him to six months imprisonment, suspended for a year, while also disqualifying him from driving for two years.
