THE Fermanagh community has been left saddened following the death of husband and wife Paul and Claire Kelly who passed away within four days of each other, after 56 years of marriage.
Formerly of Rosscolbon Meadows in Kesh, Mrs Kelly, a hugely popular member of the community, passed away peacefully at the South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen on Sunday, April 20.
Mr Kelly passed away on Thursday (April 24), on the morning of his wife’s funeral.
Fr Frank McManus, who celebrated at Mr Kelly and Mrs Kelly’s Requiem Masses, told mourners gathered at St Joseph’s Church in Ederney that it was an “extraordinary week” for the community.
“Today [Sunday, April 27] marks the end of what has been an extraordinary week in the universal church and here locally in our parish and community,” Fr McManus recalled.
