The Finn Valley Centre in Stranorlar, Co. Donegal was the venue for day one of the E District Ulster Schools’ Track and Field Championships last Wednesday.
Students from Fermanagh performed well in very warm conditions against stiff competition from South Donegal, Cavan and Tyrone in the intermediate and senior age groups, with the top three in all events going forward to the Ulster finals.
Day two of qualification takes place today (Wednesday) with the Mini Minor and Junior Age Groups battling it out for places at the finals, which take place over two days at the Mary Peters Track.
The finals for the Minor and Junior Age Groups are scheduled for Wednesday 14 May, while the Mini, Intermediate and Senior events take place three days later.
