THE Erne Flower Arrangement Society recently celebrated its Golden Anniversary.
The society formed on the 1st November 1975 and to acknowledge the milestone of the club their members celebrated with a wonderful meal and floral demonstration at Killyreagh House, Tamlaght, the home of Lord and Lady Hamilton. The evening included a tour of their beautiful gardens.
Chairwoman Ruth Hood commented, “It was a wonderful evening spent in the beautiful surroundings of Killyreagh House to celebrate our 50th anniversary.
“Almost 50 members were treated to an excellent meal by Sharon Finlay followed by a wonderful demonstration by our valued member Timothy Elliott,” she said.
“I would like to especially thank Lord and Lady Hamilton who allowed us use their home and gardens in order that we could celebrate our 50th anniversary in style with the icing of the cake being blessed with brilliant sunshine during the whole proceedings.”
The Erne Flower Arrangement Society meets in the Cathedral Hall at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month starting back in September and new members are welcome.
