Cork calling for Fermanagh band

ERMANAGH band ‘Tully’ said they’re “really looking forward” to headlining at a major gig in Cork later next month as they continue to make major strides in their successful career in music.

The Knocks band, who have been ever-present performers at many weddings and ceremonies, have risen to fame and earned major recognition following their collaboration with Nathan Carter.

‘Tully’ recently confirmed that they’re going to be performing at a major festival in Cork, which is expected to attract hundreds of music enthusiasts to the Munster county from June 6 to June 8.

“We’re really looking forward to heading down to Cork in a few weeks to play at the annual ‘Rockchapel Gathering Weekend’,” an online post from the Fermanagh band read.

Weeks after they appeared on Daniel O’Donnell’s TG4 show ‘Opry le Daniel’, the local group took centre stage at a major headline concert which took place at the Balor Theatre in Ballybofey.

“What a night we had,” ‘Tully’ reacted after their sold-out concert at the Donegal venue.

“We want to say thank you to the Balor and all their staff and to Paddy Treacy who was a great support act. We want to thank every single person who came out to support us.”

Since their collaboration with Liverpudlian Carter on his single ‘Listen to the Radio’, ‘Tully’ has released a number of hit songs, including their recent recording of song ‘Ford Econoline’.

Speaking to the ‘Herald after their collaboration, the Country music star said that he “couldn’t get over how talented” the Knocks group, adding that he was delighted to work alongside them.

“I couldn’t get over how talented they are, and their voices and harmonies were brilliant. They need to be heard by a lot more people,” explained Carter.

“They have been going for years-and-years, but life stepped in with them, having kids and getting married, but they’re now at the stage where they want to get going again.”

Over the bank holiday period, ‘Tully’ took centre stage at ‘The 1881’ in Smithborough, a village in Monaghan, to the delight of their large and ever-increasing fan base and following.
