Work progressing at Fermanagh GAA club

A LOCAL GAA club said they’re “making great strides” in their ambitious redevelopment project to their new grounds which is expected to have a major impact on the extended rural community.
Belcoo GAA club are in the midst of a major development to the facilities at MacNean Park, which is expected to have a massive impact on what the club can offer to many local residents.
“Gareth [McGrath] and his company McGrath Building and Joinery Ltd are making great strides with the construction of our new facility building,” the club posted in an update on social media.
“They have completed the subfloors, sewage connections, the steel frame is erected and the subfloor has been laid. Next up is the block work which will start next week.
“We’re delighted with the workmanship and can’t wait to see phase one of the project completed.”
The Belcoo club embarked on a mammoth fundraising mission to raise proceeds for the work.
Club chairman, John Joe Stewart, praised the extended community for their commitment.
“This project wouldn’t have been possible without the huge support from our community and the commitment shown by Belcoo O’Rahilly’s members,” Mr Stewart said.
“This significant step comes after tireless fundraising efforts by the club and the community, demonstrating the shared vision and commitment to enhancing local amenities.
“The new facility will serve as a valuable hub for the football club as well as the community, offering a space for events, gatherings, and activities for residents of all ages.
“It will also play a crucial role in supporting the future of Belcoo O’Rahilly’s, providing an essential base for players and fans alike.”
