National recognition for Enniskillen bars

THREE of Enniskillen’s top bars are set to go head-to-head in a bid for glory at the prestigious National Pub and Bar Awards which will celebrate and honour the best in the industry.
Taking place in London on Tuesday, June 24, over 250 pubs and businesses across the UK will compete for major awards and accolades in recognition of their commitment to their communities.
Two of Fermanagh’s longest serving pubs, ‘Charlie’s Bar’ and ‘Blakes of the Hollow’, have been shortlisted for an award, as well as ‘The Taphouse’, in major recognition for the local pub industry.
Editor of ‘Pub and Bar’ magazine, Tristan O’Hana, is pleased to run the awards ceremony.
“The aim of the National Pub & Bar Awards is simple. We want to showcase how brilliant these businesses are and how valuable they are to fabric of society across the UK,” he said.
Held at the Big Penny Social in London, a number of individuals awards will also be presented.
“It has never been harder in hospitality,” explained Mr O’Hana.
“Whether it’s a countryside pub with rooms or a city centre bar showing live sport, these operations deserve widespread recognition and more customers.
“Hopefully the National Pub & Bar Awards can help with both.”
