PEOPLE who make “a real difference in our communities” are set to be honoured in style as the long-running Fermanagh Trust prepares to celebrate 30 years of supporting the local area.
As part of the Fermanagh Trust Civic Honour Awards, 30 individuals in the county will receive a £1000 bursary to support their organisation, which plays a key role in the Fermanagh community.
The awards will be presented at a celebration at the Ardhowen Theatre on Thursday, September 4, which will mark 30 years of Fermanagh Trust, which was formed back in 1995.
Director of the Fermanagh Trust, Lauri McCusker, is excited by the upcoming fundraising event.
“Reaching 30 years is a major milestone for the Fermanagh Trust, and we wanted to celebrate it in a way that reflects the heart of what we stand for, recognising and supporting those who make a real difference in our communities,” explained Mr McCusker.
“The Civic Honour Awards allow us to celebrate both the incredible contributions of those in the community and voluntary sector and also invest in the future of local organisations through £30,000 in bursaries.
“This is about shining a light on the people who give so much to Fermanagh, saying thank you for their dedication, and inspiring others to continue making a difference for years to come.”
Nominations can be made via the online form on the Fermanagh Trust website or by emailing sonya@fermanaghtrust.org.
