Fermanagh company partners up with cancer charity

A Fermanagh timber company is to partner up with a leading support organisation to help local people who are living with cancer.

Balcas Timber has confirmed its going to be linking up with Cancer Focus Northern Ireland over the next 12 months to support people in need.

“Our team selects a charity that holds personal significance to them,” said Roisin McManus, the Communications Manager at Balcas.

“This year, our team felt a strong commitment to focusing on local cancer care, support services for patients, and cancer prevention.”

“We are pleased this year to be in a position to support Cancer Focus Northern Ireland,” she concluded.

Balcas will help with highlighting services provided by the charity to help the local people impacted. They will also help to raise vital funds for the one in two people who will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime in the North.

“I am absolutely delighted to be working with Balcas Timber,” Krystle Corrigan, the Community Fundraising Officer at Cancer Focus NI enthused. “

We need to raise £4.6 million yearly to continue to deliver our cancer support services and corporate partnerships are an integral part of achieving this.
