Country star Lisa set for a busy summer

COUNTRY star Lisa McHugh is expected to sell out some of the biggest venues and concert halls in the North this summer as she marks her much-anticipated return to the stage in style.
The Glaswegian, who has set up home in Enniskillen, has been off stage for a year following the birth of her daughter Hallie. She’s now ready to perform and has big plans for the year ahead.
The mother-of-two will kick-off her summer dates at The Market Place in Armagh on June 12.
Lisa will also lead gigs at the Balor Arts Centre in Donegal on Friday, June 13, and at the Alley Theatre in Strabane on Saturday, June 14. She’s also going to be performing at major festivals.
The Scottish singer also revealed that she’s been working on producing new music.
“I’m back in the studio again working on some new music and writing away whenever I get the chance. Hopefully it won’t be long until there’s some new music on the way,” explained Lisa.
“I need to have time to switch off and connect into that creative side of my brain.
“I’m lucky that I’ve got great friends and co-writers that I can lean on and we tend to book the time in the diary and get as much done as we possibly can,” the 37-year-old added.
Lisa will also collaborate with some of the North’s top music stars at the ‘All-Star Country Concert’ which is scheduled to take place at the Great Northern Hotel in Bundoran on Sunday, July 13.
She also is scheduled to perform at the Farmer’s Bash Weekend in Belfast in August.
The Enniskillen resident is excited for the year ahead and she’s keen to make major strides.
“I missed being on stage. I do really enjoy every part of my job and it’s great to be back working and meeting people again, while juggling everything at home,” Lisa said.
